Carbon-14 is an application for NFC-enabled mobile phone to retrieve the carbon footprint of particular products. In addition to demonstrating the dynamic nature of carbon footprints, this application shows how consumers can be empowered with knowledge about the products they buy.

  • Retrieving the carbon footprint: The user touches the products with the mobile phone and the carbon footprint of the touched product is displayed on the screen.
